Re: Recorder’s Office Deed Book Scanning
The Belmont County Recorder’s Office was recently awarded ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) Funds through the Belmont County Commissioners’ Office to scan 331 Deed Books and 8 Deed Index Books, as well as 12 Lease Index Books not currently available online.
The Deed Records and Index Books will be physically removed from the Recorder’s Office and temporarily stored off-site to complete the scanning project.
If you should need copies from these Deed Records while the books are out of the office, an email can be sent to filerequest@scanworksllc.com with the volume and page you are looking for and the document will be retrieved within a few hours.
Scanning is expected to start around February 14, 2025. The Deed Records and Index Books are expected to return to the office around March 7, 2025.
Completing this scanning project will allow the remainder of Deed Records not currently online to be made available online to the public.
